Sandhya Rani, married to Mahila Debbarma, encountered formidable challenges in her life. With three children to care for, including a daughter born with significant health issues, and a husband grappling with mobility issues, the burden of responsibilities weighed heavily upon her shoulders. The financial strain exacerbated the situation, with only one person earning food for the entire family.
Amidst these challenges, Sandhya Rani faced a critical moment when she developed an eye problem. Financial constraints prevented her from seeking proper medical care. However, when her neighbour, Anima Debbarma, learned of her plight, she reached out to LPT for assistance.
Recognizing the urgent need for medical attention, Our team visited the patient’s family on Jan 05, 2020, and swiftly arranged a consultation with Dr. A.K. Chakma, a distinguished eye specialist in Agartala, Tripura, on 07/01/2020. Following tests and evaluations, it was revealed that Sandhya Rani required immediate surgery. Dr. A.K. Chakma referred her to Sankara Deva Eye Hospital in Guwahati, Assam.
LPT made all necessary arrangements to send her to Guwahati, and on 12/01/2020, Sandhya Rani embarked on a journey to Sankara Deva Eye Hospital for a crucial eye operation, accompanied by Ms Anima Debbarma. The first phase of treatment commenced on 17/01/2020, including comprehensive diagnostics and a week-long medication regimen until 23/01/2020.
Sandhya Rani’s unwavering commitment to recovery saw her making daily visits to the hospital, culminating in a significant milestone on 31/01/2020, when her eye operation was successfully conducted at Sankara Deva Eye Hospital, Guwahati, Assam.
With steadfast support from LPT, Sandhya Rani returned home on 05/02/2020 after her operation.
