UTF Extends Relief and Compassion to Flood-Affected Families at Aswini Para JB School Relief Camp, South Tripura
On August 27, 2024, the United Tiprasa Forum (UTF) continued its dedicated relief efforts in Tripura by reaching the Aswini Para JB School Relief Camp in Gardang Panchayet, Santirbazar, South Tripura. Here, around 80 individuals from 21 families affected by the devastating floods and landslides found refuge after record-breaking rains swept across the state, leaving many homeless and in urgent need of basic supplies.
UTF’s team arrived with a spirit of compassion and a commitment to easing the burdens these families face. Recognizing the isolation and hardship caused by the floods, UTF provided a range of essential items to each family, including 5 kilograms of rice, eggs, dal, mustard oil, soap, soybean, and candles. The team also brought cakes, biscuits, and chocolates for the children in the camp, hoping to bring some comfort and a moment of joy to their challenging days.
Tripura’s recent rains have been unprecedented in both intensity and impact, causing widespread displacement and significant damage throughout the state. As a dedicated NGO, UTF has committed to supporting its communities by conducting regular visits to relief camps across Tripura, ensuring that no one is left behind during this crisis. The visit to Aswini Para JB School Relief Camp is part of this ongoing initiative, demonstrating UTF’s resolve to stand by the affected families until they can return to normalcy.
UTF’s relief campaign is made possible through the generous contributions of donors who have continually supported this cause. Thanks to their assistance, UTF can continue to offer relief and encouragement to those in need, reinforcing the community spirit that binds Tripura together. UTF extends its deepest gratitude to these donors, whose unwavering support has made these relief efforts possible.
UTF remains steadfast in its mission to reach every family in need, bringing practical support and a message of solidarity to each camp it visits. As the flood-affected families navigate these trying times, UTF will continue to be there, supporting and assisting with all available resources until the region recovers from this disaster.
