Empowering Education: UTF Inaugurates Free Coaching Center for Madhyamik Drop-Out Students
In a significant step towards uplifting the quality of education among Tipra Madhyamik drop-out students and regular students, the United Tiprasa Forum (UTF) officially inaugurated a free coaching center at Krishnarai Roaja Para, Chawmanu, LTV, Dhalai, Tripura on 26th October 2019. This initiative also aims to employ local unemployed educated youth, thereby addressing multiple community needs.
The inauguration ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp by the esteemed Sir Shakti Jamatia, Advisor; Ma’am Anindita Jamatia, Executive Member; Sir Richard Debbarma, Member and CDPO, Chawmanu, in the presence of local students and villagers (parents). Sir Sajal Debbarma, Secretary of UTF, delivered a welcome and introductory speech, setting the tone for the event. Motivational speeches by Ma’am Anindita, Sir Shakti, and Sir Richard followed, inspiring both students and attendees.
A touching moment during the event was when a parent expressed their gratitude for this noble cause, highlighting the community’s appreciation. To further support the students, each one received two notebooks and a pen, symbolizing the beginning of their educational journey with UTF.
Initiation and Curriculum of the Coaching Center
Under the guardianship of local UTF contact, Sir Ratanlal Tripura, the coaching classes were initiated. Sir Ratanlal expressed his humble gratitude and commitment to the upliftment of youth in this area. Currently, the center enrolls 12 students, comprising 7 drop-out students and 5 regular students, including 8 girls and 4 boys.
The coaching center’s teaching staff includes Sir Kamal Charan Tripura, also the President of Kami Hamkrai Club, and another teacher, both of whom will be paid for teaching Social Science (Arts) and Maths, respectively. Sir Ratanlal himself will volunteer to teach English during weekends. The classes, which unofficially commenced on 21st October 2019, will be conducted daily, with sessions in the morning and evening.
Apart from regular courses, the coaching center will also host quizzes, debates, group discussions on current issues, and motivational classes from time to time, providing a holistic educational experience. The local villagers noted that many other students are preparing to enroll in the UTF coaching classes in the coming weeks.
Challenges and Community Support
Sir Ratanlal emphasized the need for a permanent electricity line (power supply) and a drinking water point nearby. He also appealed to like-minded individuals to contribute by providing geometry instrument boxes for the students, as many cannot afford them. Additionally, there is a need for current affairs books and general knowledge resources on Tripura.
A Vision for the Future
UTF Team wishes success to all the students, hoping for their bright careers and the enlightenment of their families and society. The organization appreciates all individuals who have selflessly contributed to this cause. UTF’s initiative is a testament to its commitment to fostering educational opportunities and community development, making a lasting impact on the lives of Tipra students.
