Financial Support for the Medical Treatment of Rupati Jamatia, a Class Topper and Dedicated Student
Rupati Jamatia, a bright and diligent student of Bloom Adventist School, currently in Class X, resides in Jatanbari, South Tripura. Known for her academic dedication, Rupati has consistently topped her class, becoming a source of pride for her family and community. However, for the past 4-5 months, she has been suffering from an unknown illness that has kept her bedridden and unable to attend school. Rupati is currently receiving treatment at GB Hospital, Agartala, and her parents are struggling to manage the rising medical expenses.
Her parents, daily wage laborers, work tirelessly to provide for the family’s basic needs. Yet, given their limited income, affording specialized medical treatment has proven to be an overwhelming challenge. They have sought every possible means to support their daughter’s recovery, yet the mounting costs remain far beyond their reach.
Mr. Kirtonjoy Reang, a compassionate and dedicated volunteer of the United Tiprasa Forum (UTF) and a fellow resident of Jatanbari, learned about Rupati’s condition through local community members. Concerned by her family’s situation and her potential as a bright student, he promptly reached out to the UTF office for assistance. On March 25, 2021, Mr. Reang accompanied Rupati’s parents to the UTF office, explaining her urgent need for financial support to continue her treatment and resume her education.
After a careful review and verification of her case, the UTF team decided to extend financial support to Rupati’s family, ensuring she can receive the necessary medical care. UTF’s contribution aims to cover the costs of her ongoing treatment, providing her with a stable foundation for recovery. Recognizing her exceptional academic record, UTF is committed not only to her physical health but also to her academic future, so she may soon rejoin her classmates at Bloom Adventist School.
Through the support provided to Rupati, UTF underscores its mission to empower the community, especially in times of hardship, by standing beside families in need.
