UTF Extends Relief Support to Flood Victims in Udaipur’s Photamati SB School Relief Camp

August 25, 2024 — Continuing its commitment to support flood-affected families, the United Tiprasa Forum (UTF) distributed essential relief materials today to residents sheltering at the Photamati SB School Relief Camp, located under Killa RD Block in Udaipur, Gomati, Tripura. This relief camp currently houses approximately 92 people from 25 families, who have been displaced from nearby villages like Torbang and Singwlwng due to the recent floods.

UTF volunteers arrived at the camp with much-needed kitchen supplies to aid the displaced families in preparing nutritious meals. The relief package included eggs, onions, soybeans, and a variety of other food items to meet the immediate dietary needs of those affected by the disaster.

The distribution program was conducted in the presence of the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Killa, who joined hands with UTF to ensure the materials reached the families in need. The event was further supported by the Killa ICDS Supervisor and UTF members, who together organized the efficient delivery of supplies to each household in the camp.

UTF’s ongoing relief efforts, bolstered by the dedicated involvement of community leaders and local officials, emphasize the importance of timely intervention during natural disasters. The team is working tirelessly to assist flood-affected individuals, providing both tangible support and reassurance during this challenging time.

UTF is committed to extending its relief efforts across various camps and affected areas in the days ahead. As the floodwaters recede and communities begin to recover, UTF remains focused on supporting vulnerable families through the distribution of essential resources and by reinforcing the spirit of resilience among those impacted.

The organization extends heartfelt thanks to the local authorities, volunteers, and supporters who make these efforts possible, working together to bring a measure of relief and comfort to flood victims in Tripura.
