UTF and Hyderabad Tiprasa Thansa Collaborate to Bring Deceased Tripura Native Home

The UTF team, in collaboration with the Hyderabad Tiprasa Thansa team, extended heartfelt support to repatriate the body of Amendra Debbarma, a resident of Dhumti, Brigudas Bari ADC village, Mandwi, Tripura, who had recently passed away in Hyderabad. Amendra, son of the late Ganga Debbarma, had traveled to Hyderabad in search of employment. Unfortunately, he had been working for less than a month and had not yet received any salary before his sudden passing.

Amendra was suffering from typhoid and had been experiencing fever for the last 10-12 days. Due to financial constraints, he was unable to seek regular medical care or afford essential medication. This lack of treatment ultimately led to his passing late last night, underscoring the difficult circumstances he faced.

Amendra’s brothers, who are among the 10,323 teachers of Tripura who lost their job and are now working in construction, gathered Rs. 20,000 to help with the expenses for bringing their brother’s body back to Tripura. Despite their efforts, the funds fell short of the required Rs. 50,000 for transportation.

The Hyderabad Tiprasa Thansa team quickly stepped in, raising a significant portion of the needed funds. However, there remained a deficit of Rs. 9,000, prompting them to reach out to the UTF team for assistance. Upon verification, the UTF team immediately responded with the additional Rs. 5000, covering the entire expense to ensure Amendra’s body would be returned home with dignity.

With the arrangements complete, Amendra’s body is expected to arrive in Tripura tomorrow morning. The UTF team extends sincere gratitude to the Hyderabad Tiprasa Thansa team for their proactive support and compassion in this difficult time. This collaborative effort reflects the unity and empathy shared within the community, ensuring that Amendra Debbarma’s family can lay him to rest in his homeland.
