UTF Hosts Free Health Check-up and Distribution Camp at Harincharra S.B. School, Ambassa
On December 9, 2018, following the inauguration of a newly constructed house for Mrs. Laisem Reang, the United Tiprasa Forum (UTF) organized another impactful event in Ambassa. Held at the Harincharra S.B. School playground, UTF hosted a Free Health Check-up, Free Medicine Camp, and Distribution Program, reaching out to hundreds of villagers who gathered eagerly to benefit from the services and resources provided.
Services Provided: Medical Check-ups, Medicines, and Essential Supplies
In alignment with UTF’s mission to uplift and support the local community, the program distributed essential items, including:
- 100 Blankets: To help families stay warm through the winter months.
- 50 kg of Fresh Apples: Providing nutritious snacks for the community.
- 200 Educational Kits: Given to students to support their learning and inspire their educational journey.
UTF also provided free health check-ups and medicines, benefiting approximately 250 villagers who received consultations and medical advice at no cost.
Medical Team and Services
UTF was fortunate to have the expertise of three dedicated medical specialists:
- Dr. Biplab Jamatia (MBBS, MD): Provided general consultations and health guidance.
- Dr. Amulya Debbarma (Gynecologist): Offered specialized consultations for women’s health.
- Dr. Pritam Debbarma (MBBS): Contributed his skills in general medicine to attend to villagers’ health concerns.
Thanks to the support of the SDMO Ambassa, UTF was supplied with free medicines, which were distributed to attendees by a staff member, further amplifying the reach and impact of this event.
Community Engagement and Dignitaries in Attendance
The program was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the SDM and DCM of Ambassa, local Panchayat Pradhan, and UTF Secretary Mr. Sajal Debbarma. Each guest addressed the gathered villagers with encouraging words, emphasizing the importance of education and perseverance, especially for the young students in attendance. They inspired the children to dream big and work hard toward their goals, fostering a sense of ambition and resilience within the community.
A Success Story of Community Support and Unity
The free health camp and distribution program were met with overwhelming enthusiasm and support, marking it as a significant success. UTF extends heartfelt gratitude to all donors, well-wishers, and volunteers who made this day possible.
